War Against Intolerance and Censorship

I have started this because my long-term fears about the tactics and impact of the PC, Work and Cancel Cultures are coming to pass-I feared they would become repressive, and would manifest the worst attributes of the Fascism of the right and the left-except that what I am seeing comes from the “left”.

A trusted colleague of mine, Linda Gale who is an official of the NTEU was cancelled by trans advocates in the Greens. This a matter of public record. The NTEU which has a great history of all kind of diversity activism and has a massive positive impact, and Linda is one of the negotiators that gets the relevant NTEU policies into our Enterprise Agreements.

Another trusted friend and colleague, Virginia Mansel-Lee was cancelled by trans advocates in the most humiliating public manner. Virginia is a lesbian and has fought and suffered for lgbtqia+ rights more than a generation. She was also president of her NTREU branch for some 10 years.

Another friend of mine who I have known as a fighter for human rights in the widest sense, expressed an interesting opinion on gender and sports-and then said “but I can’t say this its too divisive”. I have known this person for more than 60 years, and, the idea that they might self-sensor is frightening.
